Deborah Koroma, FNP-C, is a certified family nurse practitioner at AIH Medical and Psychiatric Services, providing integrative health care to patients 12 and older in Waldorf, Maryland.
Deborah brings more than 15 years of experience to the practice. She studied at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, earning her undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing.
At AIH Medical and Psychiatric Services, Deborah provides primary care, family medicine, and internal medicine to teens and adults. Her treatment philosophy emphasizes a conservative and integrative approach that treats each patient as an individual with unique needs and circumstances.
Rather than making broad treatment recommendations, Deborah collaborates with each person one-on-one, taking time to understand their symptoms, concerns, and goals. She then uses that information to develop personalized care plans that empower individuals to take charge of their health.
Deborah loves getting to know her patients. She has a compassionate bedside manner and strives to ensure that everyone feels respected and heard.
Outside of work, Deborah is active in the nursing community. She’s a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and regularly attends industry conferences and events to build on her professional knowledge and skill set.
